if you are rejected, do you have a 'take it or leave it' offer?

Nus
Went to nus for interview on 7 Nov. Received a call from the HR on 29 Nov to reapply for a similar position in a different team but no longer need to interview. On the same day told to submit payslip, transcript etc and answer some additional questions. No further update since 29 Nov.
In between, got anxious and contacted the NUS HR on 9 Dec, but was told that they are still processing pre-employment formalities and will be in touch soon. No update since then.
Just wondering if they are normally that slow or they are no longer interested to hire me?

If they urgently need the role to be filled, the hiring manager would most probably expedite the process for you. It took about a week from my final interview for them to get back to me with an offer. You might want to start looking elsewhere.

Applied for an AM/M role. Got an email from HR for referee checks before interview. Shouldn't it be interview first before checking references?
Also, what is the salary range before and after bonuses for the role?
Am drawing 70k after bonuses so I want to know what should I expect when negotiating salary.

Since they don't have AWS, I will ask for basic salary 15Kx13/12=16.3K plus 2 mths sign-on bonus.

Did they accepted your request?

Was curious on why some got their offer fast and some were slow. Thought the pre-employment checks will take some time…
