I got about 2.3 months bonus for my first year here. Not bad. The amount that's posted earlier is pretty accurate.

NUS biochem or civil engineer who self-taught programming come to be SWE?

Most of their job involves slapping a sales KPI onto the lower echelons to deliver and convincing other people that leadership is very important. After all, they have no other relevant experience in this industry. You are more likely to find yourself learning from mistakes on the job rather than learning from experienced people. The longer you stay, the more obsolete your skills compared to the outside industry.

Only apply this place if you derive satisfaction in helping incompetent people retire.

But if you hang on long enough, and everyone leaves, you will be next in line to be promoted.

6.2k base pay is already above what an E5 with C grade performance is getting, assuming you joined 1-2 years ago. Nice troll but our performance bands dont even use letter grade for bands in recent years.

For the sake of others reading this thread, 4-5% base increment for above average performers and an additional 4-5% increment for E5 to E6 jump.
