Previously perm staff had a lot more benefits compared to contract staff. Then the management started slashing special bonuses, stocks and things like leave.
The only difference now is the name of the employment itself, perm vs contract, and probably the staff pass.

Is the office there still felt too cold? Previously I still recall employees wore winter jackets in the office especially during the rainy season. Their office aircons are really very powerful.

If you are fresh grad:
Do your best to avoid any business unit that does MINDEF Projects. Majority of them don't sell software, they sell retirement portfolios. A large number of ex-civil servants are parachuted in at senior management positions. Most of their job involves slapping a sales KPI onto the lower echelons to deliver and convincing other people that leadership is very important. After all, they have no other relevant experience in this industry. You are more likely to find yourself learning from mistakes on the job rather than learning from experienced people. The longer you stay, the more obsolete your skills compared to the outside industry.
Only apply this place if you derive satisfaction in helping incompetent people retire.
