Its good for retirement la. Aka come to office have meeting. Quarrel. Push here and there. Go home.
Not good for engineers who get no support to deliver project.
Everyday just hear management pester the higher few engineers to bring in business.
But isn't brining in the business job is those senior management? That's why their pay is so high what?
In short you can feel like u as an engineer are doing the technical work (research), the support work (email from client or internal customer how this work. How that work) the logistic work (delivery guy, location, space, storage), also project management (PowerPoint for boss so your boss can use your update to update to his boss). And to top that also project tender (gather requiment for new project, costing)...
And you wonder. Senior management those with their office and title like vice president or director is do what one ah. Then ask them need more manpower...
You can ask from day to night always same excuse. Either covid hiring freeze. Or no candidate or no budget. Or cannot find people. And you're doing all this while you take home pay only 4k plus while your senior manager take home what? 10k? Drive nice car to work. While you hustle and bustle in the mrt...
If you're engineer don't join. If you're project manager, talk only good. Then can join cause this company full of this kind of people

Engineer quit then no replacement.
So engineer take on more work.
Boss newly appointed as VP want to look good for his kpi so don't approve new hire.
Project cost quote 5 engineers work on it. But only left 1 engineer during the crunch time.
Profit from not hiring 5 engineers trickle into senior management bonus when their profit margin kpi is met. On top of their already hire base salary.
1 engineer doing 5 peoples work. Base salary also not competitive.
So one day he wake up and quit.
And the cycle of life repeats.
