My pay already stagnant for 2 years.. after doing so much.. still drawing the same pay as fresh grads. Meanwhile my friends in the same sector are drawing 4-5k

No matter who replied, it's always the same old politically correct sweet talk from middle to top management to their engineers. In the end, only new hires benefit.
Like the last round of adjustment to salary adjustment to "peg competitively against the market", it's only a repackage of existing packages of current staff to make the numbers look nicer. Good to look at, not good to eat.

He strolls in 940 am and dash off at 5pm together with those 730 am crowd..

Probably different department. I clock in at 7.45am everyday and leave office only at 7pm. By the time I reach home, it’s already 8.15. Dinner, sleep, cycle repeats.
