I beg to differ. For the very least I think it is only fair to evaluate everyone equally based on meritocracy, just like any other hiring process. One shouldn’t be penalized for leaving. My 2 cents.

Not sure on how lta applications works.
I feel the system is like will auto filter out some of applications before HR
actually view manually.
I got few applications rejected in saying with the template saying we found
Someone with experiences closer to the job but the job is reposted.
Very unfair system.

I believe they have some sort of automated system to look for certain keywords in every resume. Those that have low to no matches will be struck off immediately. The scenario you posted is common since years back. The same opening can be there for months.
If they do use an automated software to filter resumes, how they configure the system will also affect the outcome.
