I saw the post but noticed it doesnt differentiate between TL/non-TL

Does it mean that a DD1 (TL) will make roughly the same as a DD1 (non-TL)?

Asking this because I saw quite a few examples of DDs reporting to DD

How do you know what DD grade the TL is. Even if they are same grade as the non-TL, they may be at the cap of that salary band (or about to be promoted to next DD grade) if so there will still be a pay difference.

Its quite common for DD to report to other DD (TL). Leave others to explain to you (or maybe ask your TL ). Since they been entrusted with more responsibilities you may assume that the DD (TL) is higher grade which can estimate from no. of years experience.

Anyway, why does it matter unless you interested to be TL?

So how much more might the team leads equivalent in private sector be paid when compared against their reports?

I make around 60% more than my direct reports.

But i suppose it differs greatly from bank to bank and team to team

Then again, I was a VP equivalent with associates and senior associates reporting to me.

Over here it looks more like VPs reporting into VP so the comparison might not be very relevant.

HR should be able to answer questions on the above assuming you've already applied.

If you've not yet applied, have a read through some of the comments on this thread for a flavour of what you will be getting into. The experience after onboarding may be quite different from what you expected.

Vacancies usually appear because someone has decided to leave. If all is as good as it seems, why the outflow of staff? Pay is just the tip of the iceberg. Every resignation is a statement about a choice made, if not about the organisation then about the immediate working environment.
Thanks for the info. I applied but didn't hear back haha oh well. Seems like MAS still has many applicants despite the supposedly high turnover

If there is really nowhere else you rather work, nothing stopping from calling to find out status of the application.

Or reapplying to more than one department, if your skillsets and prior experience allows.

Hi all, looking to apply for a supervision role. Wondering if any has any insights or experiences to share esp from BD and CMI. Is the culture and workload more or less the same?
