I can share. 1 year ago I got into a top 20 US uni for financial engineering which is one of MAS' core skills. HR says to meet the criteria, i must have been working in MAS for 18 months at time of application (march), sadly i havent. My div hd say that actually from her past experience, sponsorship is very competitive, and candidates who get in normally has worked for more than 3 years. She herself only has gotten sponsorship instead of the scholarship and her uni was Oxford/she has high potential. So i think unless the grad school you get in is like Ivy League ranking, you stand very little chance.

I think depends on salary. If you can get ~6k/month, should be able to negotiate for AD2.
