hihi I'm a third year associate and I'm currently getting 5450 (after the recent salary adjustment), so i expected AD to get at least 10% above that. when did you get your offer?

They do take your last drawn salary into consideration when offering you the post. But do calculate and see if it is worth it as MAS only has 1 bonus per year and avg bonus range between 1.5-1.7. Increment is not as attractive over the last few years as well.

Based on 5.4k and 13.5 month package - 73k annual is not too bad. Just expected a bit higher.

Adjustment in Apr is a norm. Every Apr is annual increment.

6.5 is average across AD1 and AD2 right, since glassdoor doesn't distinguish between the two. my sense is AD1 5500-6500 and AD2 6500-7500 average 6.5k? i read somewhere in the thread that DD starts at 9k though. is the jump from AD to DD big?

I got a colleague who promoted to DD after 8 years working as fresh grad in MAS.

It could be due to the cut when covid struck. For 8.5k as DD, u could just work in other gov agencies which potentially less stressful and lesser workload than MAS. Moreover, other agencies have 3 bonuses a year as compared to MAS which only have 1 bonus (and not v high bonus too).

Came in with 5 years experience at AD2, started with 7.2k. Think you have been shortchanged.
