Just read MD's message on workday - seems like this significant increase is for Grade 13-9. Guess I'll keep my letter in the drafts for a couple more years...

I think the lower your grade the higher the increment %.

Believe they do the foreign currency ops work. They are the ones who buy and sell forex in reserves to maintain the sgd level and they also do the SGS selling for the Gov. MAS has separate departments for surveillance of economy and setting the monetary policy itself.
