How does this path works?

Unregistered 29-01-2021 11:31 PM

seems that here is a lot of unhappiness on glassdoor from procurement staff...

Unregistered 30-01-2021 10:38 PM

From what I see, the working environment and hours for dsta procurement staff is very overloaded and stressful. May I know if it is the same for the tech-related staff in dsta (like software engineers), or is the working environment and hours for them better?

Unregistered 03-02-2021 01:06 PM

I applied for 4-5 jobs in Dsta that I am interested. It has been a month and the status is still Submitted. Does this count as rejecteD?

Unregistered 03-02-2021 01:41 PM

Applied in Jan. Feb receive rejection letter.

through email. portal status change to unsuccessful.

Unregistered 04-02-2021 11:05 AM

Till date all the applications are submitted. No email of unsuccessful application or sort.

I kinda feel i am being ignored.

Unregistered 04-02-2021 12:04 PM

Those that got rejected or ignored, may I ask what is your GPA? I applied for the procurement position in December and they have not get back to me too. I am a 2:1 from local uni. Studying science so not sure if it’s relevant which explains the delay

Unregistered 04-02-2021 01:03 PM

I am a 2.2 from with part time SUSS degree but with 8 years of experience. Perhaps I will wait till March and see how it goes. Not really considered a fresh grad as part of my experiences fit the job requirements.

Unregistered 02-03-2021 11:27 AM

Run while you can

PSA: if you want to have a normal work-life balance, don't even consider Procurement.

Unregistered 04-03-2021 06:31 PM

concur with the poster above...procurement folks in dsta look so stressed and angry all the time. Staffing is constantly changing due to many quitting

Unregistered 07-03-2021 05:42 PM

What is the average annual increment for engineer in dsta? Not referring to promotion increment

Unregistered 15-03-2021 01:19 PM

Hi, can I check if DSTA follows the grading such as MX 13,MX12 etc just like other SB and ministries for its procurement sept?

Unregistered 16-03-2021 12:55 AM

if you are considering an offer from procurement, pls be advised to think very carefully before accepting it. the job scope and work tempo may be very different than what you imagine it to be.

other than the high workload and stressful culture mentioned by others, do also remember that dsta is an engineering and technology focused org, and engineers will naturally be valued more over procurement staff.

strange... I am also a 2:1 from ntu studying science also. They got back to me after a month

Unregistered 03-04-2021 01:17 AM

don't bother with procurement here. unless you're ok with being worked to the bone and getting bullied by the toxic middle management.

though i'm sure i hardly need repeat this when there are so many earlier posters sharing similar opinions.

I'm the earlier poster... Currently feel like I saved someone's life.

Nope, I'm still thinking whether to apply to B&I or not.
Are you planning to apply as well?
Do you know anything about the job scope or culture at B&I?

Applied but no news. Not sure about the culture.

Fresh Grad should definitely have an edge. Currently have 5 years working experience but wanted a career change. Applied for senior engineer role in Digital Labs, have a relevant local U masters. only offered 6XXX. Gov sector takes around 2 months to reply your application.

Unregistered 21-04-2021 12:56 AM

engineer or not, only accept if you intend to stay here forever. scope of work here is very niche and not easily transferable to private sector, or even to other public agencies. will be difficult to move out without a pay cut if you only intend to hang around for short term

Unregistered 26-04-2021 01:56 PM

How many rounds of interview do they have?

Unregistered 27-04-2021 07:43 AM

stay away from this place.

enough said.

Yes agreed, it's a sign on job

Unregistered 27-04-2021 09:29 PM

DSTA engineer pay

Heard that DSTA engineer fresh grad pay is 5k pm. Any idea what is the progression and increment like? How long will it take to hit 10k pm? TQ.

Unregistered 29-04-2021 02:34 PM

Hi

Hi, for DSTA jobs which require CAT2A clearance by the vendor, are candidates who converted and now are Singaporean eligible? or totally cannot clear if not born Singaporean? Thanks

don't think you can get a definitive answer for this man. this sort of thing is not supposed to be public knowledge to start with

Is it worth to jump to somewhere like ST engineering?

Unregistered 06-05-2021 11:01 AM

doesn't seem like many positive things are being said about dsta. is the culture really that poor?

Unregistered 06-05-2021 01:46 PM

DSTA rejects every single application i submitted despite fulfilling the requirements.

Are they only looking for NTU and NUS grads?
