No more direct hires apparently, all go through 2 years DSTA Technology Grad Programme(TGP)

1st class - 5.3k
2nd upper - 5.3k
2nd lower - 4.9k

Just received an offer from DSTA, but offer is only valid if security clearance is obtained.

How easy or hard is it to clear this? How does one fail the security clearance?

1st class and 2nd upper is the same pay? I think that 2nd upper is 5.2k
