I mentioned "most". So what is the % of fresh grads who managed to secure such 100k packages?
If someone is really good, they'll be flying high and mighty in the private sector already (and this could be with excellent work life balance too).
It's still a bell curve in the end.

DSTA, DSO, MINDEF, MOF, Govtech, JTC, LTA etc.
You underestimate how many places give 100k packages.

Well OP is already earning ~90K in private sector, maybe they aren't "most people". Pretty sure it's not wrong to seek both WLB and good compensation, and want to work for gov. No reason why need to give up one or the other.

I didn't mention anything about the places that offer them. Everyone knows that many places offer them, private or public sector.
I am skeptical about the % or number of fresh grads who have been offered such packages, because many people are swayed by survival bias online i.e. thinking OH YAY every Tom Dick Harry should be getting 100k starting salary.
You have any statistics as proof that there are many of such offers from the public sector? Do enlighten us here then.

Don't have public / private split but pretty sure 90K for 3YOE isn't "average" like you suggest. If you look at this calculator based on MOM stats then you'll see that for age group of 25-29 $7-8K monthly is top 11%..

You may argue that this included non degree holders, but about 36% of resident population above 25yo are degree holders. Given this, I still think 90K annual is above average, whether private or public.

HDB interview - Engineer
greeting to all,
I had attended interview with HDB last Week for an Engineer role. Then received a follow up email from HR on the same day to provide them with completed B2 form, latest payslip and family particulars. but until now no further response from them.
May I consult people who had attended interview with HDB that if this is a normal hiring process by filling up the files mentioned above?

Hello did you receive any updates from them on the interview outcome eventually? If so, how did it go if you don't mind sharing? Thanks!
