anywhere from 50k a year for administrative processes to tens/hundreds of millions for Mark Zuckerberg. Gotta be more specific my friend :)

Unregistered 26-11-2021 02:35 PM

What’s the pay for fresh grads in ops role

Unregistered 27-11-2021 09:48 AM

Pass the 6 round of interview then talk

Unregistered 11-04-2022 03:54 PM

How much does fresh grad holding the market specialist role earn? Heard the range is 3.2-7.2k…… meta paying freshgrad anything less than 4K is quite shocking thought

Unregistered 11-04-2022 06:45 PM

Good measurement to see how BS this forum is :)
Well, where are 300K-500K annum people ? Thought there are a lot over here ?

Unregistered 12-04-2022 02:19 PM

It's true that FAANG pays top dollar. But what most people forget is that this only applies to tech and especially SWE. For non-tech roles like marketing and finance, FAANG pays market rate and sometimes even slightly below market.

Unregistered 12-04-2022 09:02 PM

Ya i know a data analyst in faang earning 9k. Though nt as high as swe but definitely above mkt rate for data analysts

I saw in my careers future too meta pay for market specialist aka non tech entry role for fresh grads, the pay range 3.2k-7.2, including masters like what you say lah. So fresh grad confirm lesser than market rate alr. Must as well go other firms… even Accenture pay fresh grads 4.9k

How much are you earning

Unregistered 21-04-2022 09:59 PM

Why join non tech position in a tech firm? No prospect one

Unregistered 22-04-2022 11:15 PM

Anyone heard back from meta in the market specialist role?

But it’s FAANG tho? Are the exit opportunities not good too? Care to share more in why you mentioned there’s no prospect?

Unregistered 23-04-2022 12:16 AM

Anyone holding the market specialist role in meta or knows anyone who holds it? Can share what the job scope is like and what are the exit opportunities? Thanks in advance!

Troll lol. Non tech or tech it’s FAANG - doesn’t matter they pay well.

Came across the market specialist in meta opening and saw that the pay range starts at 3.2k to 7.2k and they look for bachelors holders and masters. So the pay like quite Low for fresh grads tho, wondering if it’s a “lower” position or one that’s not so prestigious.

Unregistered 23-04-2022 12:05 PM

Don’t bother working there if you not swe. Pay is market rate

Unregistered 23-04-2022 12:18 PM

got a few friends at facebook, they hate it

reality is that FAANG dont pay the highest anymore, start-ups, crypto companies and HFT companies pay almost 2x more with 2x better learning opportunities.

u go to FAANG, u just work on some mediocre service / product that the company does not care about. All their main stuffs, Metaverse, etc are all in the US company.

FAANG = good if u need a resume booster or a first job that's incredibly reputable

if u are mid dev / senior dev, no point, no one cares.

Unregistered 23-04-2022 12:34 PM

Market specialist doesn't sound like an exciting role, but if salary is high then just take first. :o

What about Google marketing role cos seems like for non tech degrees all entry level into Google is the marketing associate role? That one also not good right cos it’s not swe…

Yea the jd you Google and see is like solving those reports on Instagram and Facebook and ensuring the compliance and safety those kind, and just be comfortable in seeing images that may make you uncomfortable. Pay I think not high leh cos I saw what they state on the mycareersfuture website, 3.2k-7.2k fresh grad and masters, so I think fresh grad may get the 3.2k ++ pay

Why so they hate it tho? Like what’s the unsatisfactory elements? Yea fresh grad here and looking to see if market specialist at meta (the only FAANG opening now for non tech) is good on the resume, like does it help in the exit opportunities to better roles or firms after one or two years

because they dont get to work on facebook's main product and services. instead they work on stupid things like chatting service, facebook ads algorithm, etc. some of these have been around for over a decade already, nothing to innovate... literally just bug fixing or refactoring code. lots of tech people, especially tech talents want to work on things that have big impact / popularity. after a while you dont really give a **** about the pay anymore cause everywhere will pay you the same... and if u wanted more pay, might as well just go crypto companies lol they offer 150k annual to 300k annual with insane bonuses...

but people dont want cause some maybe dont believe in crypto, think it'll die 2 years down the road, or feel that crypto company techstack is useless for future prospect, etc.

if u are a fresh grad then definitely go for it, its a good resume booster for first job. from there u decide whether its worth staying for 2-3 years or not, also be aware that facebook has a 2 year cycle, meaning u need to show improvement every 2 years or else you're gone. im not sure if this is same for non-tech but it is for tech.

Would you say the role at meta even if it’s non tech is better on the resume as a first job as compared to a role in Accenture (for example consulting or change management or business analysis)? Cos saw one op comparing these two in the earlier page too.

What are some of such crypto companies that pay so much but guess they also require masters or first class honours grads bah similar to IB? But crypto really don’t have good exit opportunities?

for resume as first job? definitely

as long as you have a good F500 company name on your resume, you are pretty much golden. ( facebook is <100 ranking, accenture is 270+ on F500 list )

so imo they are both good. of course facebook is better because of the ranking + their benefits is quite insane, last i recall they give you 3k yearly or something? im not sure about now.

wintermute, binance, crypto.com, alphalab capital... there's still a few more, i forgot

also no you dont need masters or first class, im pretty sure. i got interview for some of these companies and im not even from NTU / NUS FCH but their OA was some crazy 4-8 hours long hackerrank where you MUST know how crypto trading works or else 100% cannot make it.

As for the exit opportunity it really depends on what you want. If you don't mind going into AI or C++ specific roles then crypto companies are pretty good.. most of their roles are C++ , so you become a C++ specialist, then 2-3 years later you hop to an AI company working with C++ and slowly expand ur skillset there.

If you want front-end dev then of course no lol once you work with C++ for years, you're going to fking hate web languages like JavaScript and other loosely typed languages. Not to mention the fact that you'll be wasting your skills.

OKX, huobi, FTX are a few chinese ones as well agreed with the last paragraph but keep in mind C++ is really not so easy and the skill level varies deeply. If you are top tier in C++ u could legitly be a god amongst men alr even more so if u can do things like write ur own compiler, parser etc

Meta is going to go bankrupt soon with the rate its stock price is dropping! Never go to a company that is going to disappear from earth in 2 to 3 years!

How you know it will Disappear soon tho like I mean it’s FAANG and been around for a while. But also see them hiring extensively for the market specialist role dk the previous batches went where or is it practice to every year hire so many
