If you don't get associate programme, do not join HTX.
Because you'll be paid less, but worked more, and you will not be promoted. Maybe 10 years? But associated get promoted guaranteed in 3-4 years.

Any idea what is the salary range for DD & D?
Are they higher than Govtech?

Does anyone know when does invitation to apply htx sponsorship or study award comes out?
Or is it my lead must recommend me before they will invite me? But the handbook says it's extended to everyone. Or are they gaslighting the average staff?

Don’t know when it comes out. But by its very nature, sponsorship or study award is limited and the process will be on competitive basis. So obviously your lead’s view of you will matter and at some point, their recommendation (or lack of it) will be considered. It won’t be too different whichever agency you’re in.

You can try having informal chat with your lead or other bosses to gauge what they think of you and whether they will support your application. Doesn’t mean they don’t support you can’t apply but success rate unknown. Or write to Hr on how to apply if you really keen. If your bosses not supportive, there will be reasons like ask you whether proposed course of study is relevant to your job scope or organisation work, no manpower to allow you to go study, blar blar

DDs on XT scheme are earning significantly more than this amount especially after the last +10% salary review.

So you are implying DDs in HTX are now 12k+ after the 10% revision?

Large number of DDs (XT10 and above) whom joined in the last 2 years are easily above 13k.
