1. Work super lepak. Suka suka come late, wait 5pm bus go home, if boss not around go home earlier. Look around HQ, office always empty, looks like nobody working one.
2. "force multiplier"? Nothing but a waste of tax payer money. Boss buy off the shelf solution and beg home team departments (HTD) to use. Most HTD smart, know the tech is quite **** so don't want to use. But boss can still smoke his way to higher up to pretend that work is being done. Truthfully, I just see sweet taxpayer money go to waste on stupid solutions or "experiments" that will never work. HTX formed as the S&T expert in MHA, but I don't see people really consulting us on anything. What happens is we just cook up some project to show that we are doing something. From my department at least, I don't see any of the work being really used my HTDs. In fact, we are force dividers, cos we kajiao HTDs and slow down their process LOL. They ownself liaise with contractors get the work done faster.
3. The movement towards in-house solution is a complete joke. The bosses are completely clueless on basic development work. Heard new "AI movement" completely failing. Clueless from top to bottom. No one knows whats going on. But hey, articles published on Linkedin and Straits Times, we must be doing well!
4. On promotion etc - You angkat bola will promote. You do stupid project and showcase it (visiblity), you will get better grade. You laugh at your boss stupid joke, you will promote. You act hardworking, look sweaty and anxious and use corporate lingo, you will promote. You participate in lame HTX-wide events that have completely 0 value add to society, you will promote.

quite true on all these. a bit weird when hometeam sometimes also do have their own development. a case of they don't believe in the **** HTX is coming out with. And lets be real, our products are off gotten from external. The AI movement is also some big fart, engaging external vendors to come out with solutions.

Quite agreed. Those who have work in the mnc and R&D firm will know a successful working product will go through numerous failed prototypes and a few years of testing. Here is a totally different planet where project suddenly ovenight became state of the art technology used in MHAs. *Seriously roll eyes*

It's true on all fronts. Everything mha uses are outsourced. Everyone is just doing project management.

If you are a user whom deal with life and death situations on the ground, would you ask HTX to build a inhouse solution or just ask them to buy something established outside?

No harm using contractor or buy off the shelf but don't advertise or proclaim your engineer develop or their own concept.. It's quite wrong to give false impression
