I was an ex engineer with EM, left recently. Will suggest you to check a few things, namely
1. Attrition rate of EM employees especially within last 2 years
2. Factors influencing why they leave
There are a lot of forums which comment on the work culture of EM, specifically in context of Singapore
s://.thelayoff.com/t/16zEvLP3
LinkedIn ( search keyword exxodus, exxonmobil cube resignation)
Will advise you to think twice. Workload is pretty heavy for PE pre covid and the workload is not getting lighter even with people leaving.
The yearly performance assessment is a disaster (s://blog.techstaffer.com/exxonmobil-continues-to-deny-using-pip-as-a-layoff). Do you want to be ranked against your colleagues every year?
Do you envision yourself fighting fire everyday while your overseas counterparts do the long term monitoring and optimisation comfortably and stressfree from their home country? You can check the top post on the reddit post (s://.reddit.com/r/ChemicalEngineering/comments/nilpoe/exxon_people_whats_going_on_with_everyone_leaving/)
If you still proceed to take the offer, all the best to you. I had fond memories of the friendship that I made in the company but was disappointed by recent events
