Capgemini

Saw a few fresh graduate with this job title as first job on LinkedIn. Now just join become senior already? Anyone know what’s the catch?

Unregistered 10-06-2021 11:37 AM

Dont know but sounds better when positioned to clients. Like eg.
Accenture can give u a team filled with analysts.. but we can give you a team filled with SENIOR analysts.

Helps to attract dumb people who puts too much emphasis on titles rather than pay too. You may fall into this category since you asked the question lol.

For someone that started the post with ‘dont know’, aren’t you awfully dumb yourself?

So you know the actual reason? Share it then.

Reason is, you dumb. Cus analyst is for non-degree holders and thus fresh graduates start at the ‘senior’ analyst level duh.

Search on linkedin:
Veena ngo
Amelia lim
Lih yeu O.
Many more

These people have degree. They have the title 'analyst' and not 'senior analyst'. Who is the dumb one?

nowadays there are shortages of technical consultants for projects, but that hasnt stopped customers from requesting a certain make up of resource types for their projects
so what do you get? title inflation!

What? Like what? How dumb are you LOL

Unregistered 10-06-2021 04:21 PM

This is really very comical. Every thread ends up in meaningless arguments, NUS/SIM kids bashing each other, or some siao lang boasting how he is going to retire in Malaysia with his CPF savings.

I miss the days when the adults had more meaningful conversations in this forum.

If you have graduated in a relevant degree, you will be offered senior analyst. If non relevant degree with no experience in software programming, you be offered just analyst.

The pay is also different. But don't be so quick to judge, get to know them better first.

The original poster is just making wild (and not very smart) guesses

Unregistered 15-06-2021 06:00 PM

Typical inflation of title.
Just like in a local bank branch everyone is a “wealth manager”😀😀😀

Unregistered 23-06-2021 04:39 PM

Joker thread

Unregistered 23-06-2021 05:03 PM

Won't be surprised if the first page is just one person arguing with himself using different nicknames. IMH have a lot of such cases.

They offered me (uni fresh grad) $4.4k base. That’s all, no bonus. A bit surprising cos rivals like Accenture offers bonus.

Unregistered 12-08-2022 12:29 PM

it's a low tier company with low tier pay and standards, they just anyhow give titles

Unregistered 22-08-2022 12:49 AM

just don't if you are Singaporean. This company is made for Indian nationals. They hire Singaporean so that they have the quota to bring in more of them.
