knn got countless posts over here already warning you not to join due to toxic culture, subpar talents and nonchalant HR and you still want to join.
the question on redoing 20x is already implying to you that it's a stinking toilet bowl here
more than 60% (and that's a conservative estimate) of the workforce have quit since LCH was parachuted there
have some self-respect and aim for somewhere else please, IMDA has deteriorated to a D-tier stat board within gov

Get your facts right. I only gather intel from the media side for further clarification, cos no complaints from the cluster.
I never say I want to join. Going for interview does not mean I want to, or have to join IMDA. For the record, I despise working for the govt.
I didn't know the company I'm applying for is IMDA until my recruitment consultant told me.
But since it's developing the local media industry I thought it's a great opportunity to consider, since I want to venture to the media side.
CONSIDERING DOES NOT MEAN DESIRE.
I only discovered its shitty reputation after going through the 1st round of interview.
Yes, I'm aware that even some Ds and DDs from the media cluster have left last yr.
I don't take everything at face value, including what hiring managers said.
It's a known fact that govt sec need to amend papers for X times, even my career coach at WSG suggested that the DD is exaggerating the numbers.
This is why I said I'm only here to gather truths, both negative and positive (if any).

HELLO Get your facts right. I didn't know that the company I applied for on the job portal is IMDA, until my recruitment consultant told me.
Neither do I know its shitty reputation only after the 1st interview.
Going for interview DOES NOT imply I want to join, or have to join IMDA.
There are people who go for interviews to brush up their skills/see where they stand in the job market.
I don't take everything the hiring managers said at face value during interviews.
Some interviewers are just testing you.
I even check in with my career coach @ WSG regarding the average amount of administrative work in govt sect.
My career coach actually thinks that the DD is exaggerating on the statistics.
That's why I'm gathering intel on the media side.
The complaints here are mostly from the tech, and the media side is awfully quiet it's getting suspicious.
I really don't care for IMDA, except for its connections to the media stakeholders.

HELLO get your facts right. I don't even know I'm applying to IMDA until my job consultant revealed to me.
As for its shitty rep, well, I only got wind of it after the interview.
You know what, going for interview DOES NOT imply I want to join, or have to join IMDA.
As for the amendments, I don't take everything that was said to me during interview at face value.
Interviewers could have been testing you.
I checked in with my career coach from WSG on this, and she actually thinks that the DD is exaggerating on the statistics.
The media side is suspiciously quiet in this thread (not necessarily a bad thing), so gathering stories is my way of verifying truths.

Redoing 20x is not uncommon. Many people have done more than 20x.

What's the main driving force for doing 20x?
Incompetent leaders who are indecisive at every layer
or
their obsession with showmanship and facade (read that some bosses are more focused on the aesthetics of the ppt, and that includes whether to put bullet or circles as point forms instead of the actual content *facepalm*)?
I can see the media side being overly obsessed with facade and appearances work-wise :/
