Chief on top doesn't know what his generals are doing or knowingly lets them run amok. It's a big mess. When things go wrong, working level gets thrown under the bus.

This CE can't seem to differentiate between civilian and military. He thinks using NDU training methods on IMDA employees is effective.

Tis AGC peculiarity fracture the teams that they got parachuted into bcos the AGC lawyers get undeservingly elevated to become the boss of those who have much more experience, or the AGC lawyers know they got mountain (ACE) behind them then act like god and rude to other staff. What a shame.

the discussion so far has always been about digital/tech side... tiagong DISG is toxic. what about the media side? uds it's a different cluster so shld be different dynamics?

I remembered when TKH introduced LCH to IMDA via email, he wrote a bunch of generic skills like project management that LCH possessed. Then he went on to emphasise that LCH had a 2 year stint at MTI (presumably secondment) which seems like a big deal.

Lol that email certainly didn't age well as it's proven that LCH is really CMI as a CE. If working 2 years at MTI is so great, many MTI officers can easily be CE too.

wondering what has IMDA has achieved the past 2+ years under LCH as compared to when under previous CEOs, apart from dozens of good staff resigning out of frustration with him.

The media folks don't even ****ing watch mediacorp shows, the very productions they are supposed to support/promote. All just there to earn an income while being pen pushers. If some local production got nominated for or won an award, then they will be quick to claim credit.

Anyway, whether it's media or tech, the big boss is still the same fellow...
