Which really isn't the case. There are many depts where you will need specialist understanding to work on, or at least very industry-specific knowledge (E.g. SMEs go Digital, E-Invoicing, Telco/Internet policy teams).

There are **some** which may be more general management but even those still require a good understanding of the industry they've been assigned to.

The point though is that the place is bleeding talent and burning out folks and it's now toxic af and it starts from one man.

Sounds bad. But if salary is high and not much work to do, it'd be a good retirement home for those in their late 40s and 50s.

Anyone can share the working style and culture in Strat Cap Devt?

Among the various age groups, i'd say the most behkan are those in late 40s to 50s. Precisely becos they switched to semi-retirement mode. Just conform and comply to every single shiit. Such pathetic lives they chose to lead

There's a shiitload of generalists without ICT background in my division. Makes me wonder why do we even need to hire degree holders in the first place when ITE grads who studied ICT would be a better fit.

A couple of feedbacks I got of this Dir, and they were that she doesn’t care your opinions, just do whatever she has set her mind to, so good luck if your opinions are against or not aligned to hers even if you have info or data backing your opinions. She has no sound technology knowledge, and she lack the ability of learning... her way of getting by is: if you cannot convince people, confuse them.

So she will just up string up words and terms to appear smart, but doesn’t make sense to the know-how experts and specialists. As a result, her staff has to keep modifying presentation files, up to 20plus iterations and working overnight and over weekends so that she feels impressive enough. Oh, heard she doesn’t present herself too cause according to her, she wants to give exposure opportunity to her staff to management and external parties.
