The current head is an indian guy who's double hatting as the previous one left for private sector.
This indian guy likes to give PR talk and motherhood statements. Prefers "strategic, big picture" work compared to ops work in order to profile himself.

Turnover is also relatively high in general under the new chief exec.

Strategic Capability Development. Wonder if anyone can shed some insight on that department?

yes, many people left. The turnover was fast. IMO, he is here to just path his way into the parliament. look at all those 'TED talks' to gain visibility. personally, I am not interested in any of the talks, I feel the real capability to lead is more important than all those surface actions.

They’re relatively new! I believe they would be focusing a lot on e-sports and AI applications within media, they used to be part of media industry development. Projects under that division should be relatively interesting if you’re keen and passionate about working on emerging tech for the online media space.

Basically a team that's still trying to find its niche to remain relevant in MIC. In the meantime, they focus on flashy but non-media-specific work such as "design thinking" to remain on the CEO's radar.

Just your typical team in imda comprising generalists who depend on management consultants to provide them with answers. It's like paying someone to do your homework for you but in a legal way.
Genuine media folks will head to places like mediacorp, netflix and game production companies.

He was parachuted from the navy, doesn't even have any telco or media experience. The most incredible part was he joined as deputy ceo but got promoted to ceo within a few months after the previous ceo joined politics.
