you must stand in the shoes of the hiring department. if they only pick you for unit preview and you rejected the job, they must restart the whole process again.
i am them, i would probably pick my best 3. at least when 1 or 2 rejects the job, i can get my man and start training him up asap. Thats the way how
MINDEF works. the applicant also have the full rights not to take the job as much as they decide not to hire you.
and yes, 'almost confirmed', but you haven signed the contract.
