I went for an interview for the SMU application, with over 1000 students applying, they will only accept 45+ students. I was very fortunate to be one of them. It would be a pity if I would have missed this opportunity.

However, I am very interested to study in NUS as well. Under the course of Psychology/Economics.

Which would be a better choice if you were to receive these options above? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IMHO, SMU's PLE seems to be overrated – at least for now. While you may be one of the "rare few" to be selected, I wouldn't place too much weight on this factor. Given that this programme is relatively new, it seems an overstatement to say that you "would have missed this opportunity" if you had taken something else. Even if we accept that an opportunity is foregone, the same notion of opportunity cost applies to the other two options, no?

IMO, there are numerous other relevant factors that you should consider in making your decision: your interest; availability of scholarship; type of environment you are looking for (for instance, SMU has a city campus, and thus, unlike NUS and NTU, does not have as much space); culture; teaching pedagogy; hostels/RCs.

Which is a "better choice" depends on the value you place in the non-exhaustive factors above.
