i think everything depends on your experience, whether it is related or relevant to the post you are applying for.
if they accept you for 8k, probably will be a DX11 at least if im not wrong. which is a Major rank. Senior or not i am not sure. like for me im just a DX9, but holding a high command position. Anyway, its just a title. the salary counts more.
