"a few years" is an understatement. diploma holders are placed 2 levels below deg. it will take anywhere 6-8 years depending on performance to promote twice to that level.
think abt it. if it were that simple just go in as dip & get paid for a few years can reach deg level then why would anyone bother to spend $$$ & 4 years of their life in a local uni just to get that cert?
