I'm a market research guy with about 1.5 years of exp looking out for opportunities and happened to chance upon one with one of the stat board under
MTI.
I've never worked in the public service besides
NS (which doesn't really count but gives me a feel)
I have an upcoming interview with 3 persons 2 weeks later, and am here to ask for interview advice for someone who's from the private sector.
Looking at Glassdoor, there seem to be some consistent interview questions:
1) Why do you want to join Public Service, despite coming from Private?
2) What motivates you to switch?
3) Anyone has other types of interview questions to share?
Additional Queries
1) The role is a Senior Officer/Manager position, how much salary should one command; given that i have some experience in the Private sector and should not be a SO role? Since SOs are mainly for fresh graduates.
2) I did private degree, how much variation in salary would there be versus local unis?
3) I believe my CEP would be lower than most local uni graduates
4) Anyone knows the salary scale for SO/M/SM and so on?
