Base varies very widely due to the nature of the fact it is sales position.
General rule though is that the more established that IT MNC is eg IBM, HP , the commission element may be lesser and base may be higher. In bigger MNC, your bonus will also be dependent on more factors like overall profitability etc. The upside is that bigger MNC always got customers coming in.
Smaller MNC can have sales incentive like 10-15% sales instantly payable ever quarter. Very attractive and the sky can really be the limit.
