Just a few more clarification below for your inputs:
(I) May I know if you are from a economics or business background?
(II) Given your varied exposure to different portfolios, does it takes u less than 3 years to obtain your MX11? On this note, how much further did u take to reach the next grade (I assume you are MX10 now)?
(III) How are your hours like throughout the years you are with your Ministry?
(IV) Does secondments and postings give a boost to one's CEP?
Once again, thank you for taking time to address my queries.

(I) No
(II) 4 years from entry level to MX11. Then 4 more years to MX10.
(III) No fixed hours but v common to work late nights and weekends at home.
(IV) Not really. The key is to perform well at the organisation where you are appraised and ranked. Sometimes being seconded can work against you if you fall out of snr mgt's radar.
