In general, workload in EDB is higher than usual (comparing to other agencies). Their culture used to be of "Churn and Burn"; officers go in through their baptism of fire, those who survived will climb, those who don't will get out within 2 - 3 years. In terms of AL, EDB is the same as other public agencies. They have other benefits such as flexi benefit (a token sum about $800 a year for reimbursement, not sure if it's still this amount), monthly HP reimbursement (not sure how much), and their medical claim and dental benefits should be the same (if not slightly better) than public agencies.

Similar to all public agencies, the amount of workload (the need to OT or work on weekends) depend on your jobs/responsbilities, as well as your supervisor. So unless you know someone in the department/division you're intending to join, it'll be hard to answer your question for this aspect.
