Actually Jap banks, work life balance is quite good. When i worked there i left office zhun zhun at 6 pm (sometimes 10-15mins later only) and i was a corporate banking RM lol.
I am now in a Korean bank and I usually leave office before 6 pm (official is 9 - 5.30 !) so plenty of work life balance too!
And yesterday during interview I will do a rough question like: on average what time do staff go back etc to get a rough idea.
