yes and no. Depends on where you're applying really. But from experience Civil Service tends to occasionally look at your cca records (since they're pretty rigid and strict to follow the 1st class, 2:1,2:2 hierarchy) to see what else they can 'gain' from you.
I got called for an interview by a stat board simply because they found the talents that I used in
NS (police) very related to the job (law & statute policy work).
