There are usually hundreds of applications for each senior officer position. Anyway, the pay u get is dependent on your ability and rank. Doesn't mean that you enter as an ASP means you will be guaranteed higher or better pay 5 years down the road. If your performance is not up to par, dun be surprised that you are getting paid less than others who joined at a lower rank.
