There are people who can make more, but I would say for the life and relatively easy work, it would be above average in sg already. I.e don't make it sound like one would be in poverty/have issues with retirement planning if he chooses the GP route. (Maybe house smaller and eat less than specialist but won't starve la)
Problem is most people choose medicine for the lofty dreams of being a surgeon/specialist.

I can bet u 100% all of the students in YLL will tell u the same if y interview them. Ofc they are naive and don’t know the reality. The reality is that 70% of them will end up as a GP/FP. There simply isn’t enough spots for everyone to train as a specialist
