I am seeing Community hospital (CH) employing residents of both FM and IM (usually Geri/rehab/AIM) backgrounds. They are given titles of associate consultants and eventually consultants after completing the relevant qualifications (i.e fcfp for FM, exit exams for the IM Sr etc). Was wondering if they are remunerated similarly as I presume they are essentially doing the same job in the same CH as a senior doctor.
And similarly if fp consultants in ops are paid the same (again after they complete fcfp and the relevant requirements to become consultant)

Generally a FP C makes around 300k/yr.. that’s why u hardly see any of them in private.. they can shake leg and work from 9-5 with occasional teaching duties with no stress.
Even more relaxed than that guy who is doing health screening in a GP clinic.
