Despite efforts by Louis Ng to speak up for teachers in parliament, to remove bell curve ranking, reduce non-teaching work, and remove CEP, what has changed?

They doubled down and insist that ranking is done in a fair manner. How fair, those on the ground can see for themselves.

Double-down and insisted that non-teaching work, is also part of GEOs' work, as an educator, instead of merely a 'teacher'. Nevermind that there is a lack of Employment Act to cap civil servants' working hours.

Instead of having CEP, CEP just got rebranded as LP. Which serves the same function.

For your case, if you have a degree, any degree, and still drawing only 2.9k after so many years, just quit. Don't even have to stay in education field as a tutor. When fresh grads are making close to 4k, literally any job will pay better. Stop wasting your time.

Paper qualifications are important.

When even grads are struggling to promote, given the dearth of promotion opportunities, what more for dip ed folks.
Seriously for those who are claiming that ranking is unfair, what would you consider to be fair? In a school, as a teacher you will never have in depth knowledge of what everyone in the school is doing. As an English teacher I sure as hell have no idea what my Maths colleague are doing and whether they are contributing a lot to their dept or outside their school that could justify that person getting a B.

Heck, do any of you know whether your colleagues were nominated by your school leaders for recognition like OYEA even though they were eventually not even in the finalised list?

Seriously, it's very easy to say that everything is unfair from that little knowledge that you have. You think that you do a lot of work and everyone else did less. To the people whining about unfairness, the only fair system to them is the one where they get the good grade.
