Why don't you do secondment to that independent school first? so you'll still be under MOE payroll, and the next 2 years are crucial to your 7th year CONNECT plan. After that, if the new school environment suits you, at least you'd have taken your CONNECT plan payout, quite MOE and join the independent school. Should you decide that the school is not for you, you can still return to an MOE school and you don't lose your 2 years of CONNECT plan.
