Nah it’s never entirely based on merits, I’ve seen people who are deserving and they don’t get fast tracked while others who are just average get cos they close to proj higher up or client like him or her or the person good at porring lo. You quiet but do amazing work no one appreciates you one. Those good ones max at most lucky they get promoted exceeding that whole 1+2 yrs or just exceed abit like maybe 1.5 yrs from a to sa and then sa to c in 2-3 yrs. orrr if you got a influential people lead maybe can help lo like this means not just manager or sm hoh but legit a Md level and like on the function got say one
