not just big 4 bro, even mnc outside has hiring freeze and don't backfill positions. that's why lots of job postings are contract roles these days, they don't count as "headcount". anyway big 4 is not hiring experienced locals either, attend your townhalls and check the new joiners list and ask your friends, all say "poor economic outlook so not hiring" and "trimming the existing fat". manager also can't jump from one big 4 to another.
