Honestly speaking, having a degree doesn't mean you will be able to achieve higher salary, even in a MNC sponsored education. It just mean, your option is wider, but that doesn't imply that there will be salary increase.
Furthermore, if you move to the wrong industries, it may mean "trouble". If I were you, I would prefer an internal request for job rotation among other deparment, may field sales or marketing roles. From there, you may be able to gain additional experience so that your value will be treasured by your future employers.
