There are CFOs out there without any of those fancy carts, so on paper the answer is “no theoretical limit”, it’s all up to your abilities, networking, luck and skill.
In practice we will still strongly recommend it if you intend to stay in the industry, since it will open more doors and doll up your CV a bit. Many of your would-be competitors would have professional qualifications so if you intend not to pursue it, you have to look for your own unique selling point.
