I will happily draw pre-Oct 2022, or even pre-2015 salary if I didn't have to ensure that the tentage vendor delivers up to spec, or entertain some grassroots leader that I don't really care about on a Saturday morning. We will give our everything in our direct work with students (and parents, to an extent). What we resent is padding the KPIs of middle and senior management with things that have nothing to do with the heart for our students.

So enough with all this nonsense about teachers being hungry for money, having no intrinsic motivation, and whatnot. Think about what our job has become.. what it has evolved into over the years.
