Because when you compare between the scholars now and the scholars back then, the younger ones are getting the short end of the stick, and there’s no shortage of employers happy to take them whether it be because of their academic record or their leadership position or experiences when in HQ/other ministries. Truth be told, teaching experience counts for nothing especially to private sector employers.
