To the OP, yes it’s entirely possible to switch from Tech to Consulting. You just need to find roles that are more consulting focused and more importantly, you need someone that is willing to give you a chance.

For Strategy wise, it’s WAYYYY harder because there is a cap to the headcount in each project. You are better off finding a strategy role outside of the company imo.
To correct you, the interview for consulting isn’t just behavioural questions lmao. Clearly never to been one and you’re not even a consulting analyst/consultant/manager etc, how do you even share with the op. Just speak to any of the current consulting hires, the process is different than those mass hired in as technology analyst (business and integration arch or delivery roles).

If it’s just behavioural questions so easy, I should see everyone getting an offer there lmao. Know that we’re speaking as those who are hired this year or well maybe end of last year onwards. Our manager is the MD for strategy and consulting, you expect someone holding this role with vast experience and having interviewed many to give a simple interview? Think again.
