I personally agree with this. And to make things worse, work keeps getting thrown down to the lower GEOs for reasons like "grooming" or being "young and energetic". These extra work wouldn't pay off with promotions and increments slowing down so much.

As for those taking up FAJT, I really would advise not to think too much about the salary. Your mental/physical health and time for your own family is worth so much more.

And for UTs getting delayed in your progression, don't worry too much if you wish to leave due to this unfairness. Most of you are still young and promising - still many job opportunities out there in the market with much better and fairer career progression.
