lol, u mention no troll and all the trolls come in to reply you.

this concept is not new la. it's just another name for resident physicians. hospital clinican still the same, end result, u not gonna get a consultant pay but work harder than a consultant doing all the legwork, forever. 7 am come in to round? do calls? weekend round? in your 50s?

it's copied from UK
s://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specialty_Doctors

sorta work in UK because it takes freaking long to exit and after which u probably work as a locum consultant for a few years before getting a substantative consultant post. UK grads not uncommon to have a substantive (ie permanent) consultant job only in late 30s to mid 40s. so for someone who wants a life , go have kids, motivation not high, it's a good alternative. plus these speciality doctors can actually become consultant via fulfilling assessment . go read up on cesr.

in sg, reality is u piah 1 or 2 years u can get into im already and another 3 years u are an ac.

so not worth it, because once u ac, althought u are the bitch of your department, will have minions working for u and your life will improve from there. as hospital clinican , ur salary immediately improve from mo but then stay in a limbo state with the duties of a registrar.

they just package it to smell nice.
hospital clinican is just what woodlands campus is calling their rp. dun get suckered in
