You should retire when you can. Retirement from the corporate world doesn’t mean you sleep all day even though you can if you wish to. There are many things you can do to reinvent yourself. Most importantly you have more free time for your family and pursue new exciting things in your life. As long as you have paid up your HDB flat mortgage and have enough for your daily expenses, you can retire. Once you are debt free, you don’t really need much. Food, utilities and other expenses only about $1500 per month.
