LVM himself is a very nice guy, slightly too religious for my liking (but to each his own). His firm is not super busy, so the hours are reasonable.

I know the people he took with him when he left Dentons have basically all left, which I guess is a perennial problem at midsizes (but it does show long-term retention is a problem).

I admit this is from a relatively short-term perspective, but it seems like LVM is in "retirement" mode, when I interned/worked there a couple of years back (not saying when), he mainly delegated most of the work to the assocs and was essentially never in the office (more so than most EPs). He was not really familiar with the cases he was litigating, and mainly left the crafting to the partners, which may be a result of said "retirement" mode.

He's essentially passed the baton to his deputy MD, so take that as you will.

If I had to give an honest account, firm-culture nice, work-wise and training not great.
