If you are determined and willing to work hard, why not? But you must be sincere about wanting to help people and not for the sake of money, or you end up being one of those pushy agents. Maybe you can prove your sincerity and determination by first taking the compulsory basic insurance course at Singapore college of insurance. The basic course is mandated by
MAS for all insurance agents. Once you have achieved this course, it will be easier to get employed by one of the many insurance companies although if I am not wrong, insurance companies are supposed to pay for the courses of their employees.
