Before Covid, had quite a lot of seniors just whiling (i.e. wasting) away time talking at the breakroom or doing irrelevant stuff, then starting work later in the day, just for facetime purposes.
I mostly finished my work within working hours (of course with OT - but never to the extent of seniors) but felt so paiseh to leave even though I think hours worked per day was the same between me and the seniors.
I honestly keep thinking, who does this serve? Everyone's quality of life decreases because of some stupid facetime culture.
